If you thought this was the most breathtaking view atop Monte Sano you'd be wrong. Most people are familiar with the above lookout. And many have likely participated in a little video trickery...
But there's a better lookout with even easier access that many still don't know about.
How to Get There
Coming into Monte Sano State Park on Nolen Ave, go past the main parking lot and the lodge. Veer left at the fork onto Bankhead Pkwy and go past the campground registration area. Continue until you reach the lookout which is directly across from the cozy CCC museum.
